2016年5月12日下午,繼續(xù)教育學(xué)院副院長(zhǎng)劉玉平、院長(zhǎng)助理曹學(xué)庚和事業(yè)發(fā)展中心雅西博士一行3人走訪(fǎng)沙特阿拉伯王國(guó)駐華大使館文化處。文化處副主任、文化和社會(huì)事務(wù)主管穆罕默德Alshraim先生、行政與財(cái)務(wù)部主管Mr. Abdulwahab K. Dammak先生參加了此次會(huì)面,并進(jìn)行了熱情的接待。
會(huì)議期間,劉副院長(zhǎng)簡(jiǎn)單介紹繼續(xù)教育學(xué)院來(lái)訪(fǎng)目的,希望可以通過(guò)沙特阿拉伯王國(guó)駐華大使館文化處了解國(guó)內(nèi)外沙特文化組織感興趣的課程及教育方面的需求,進(jìn)而在文化和教育方面與沙特文化處建立長(zhǎng)期合作的伙伴關(guān)系,會(huì)訪(fǎng)期間曹老師詳細(xì)介紹了中國(guó)石油大學(xué)(北京)繼續(xù)教育學(xué)院的基本情況,并解答了對(duì)方提出的相關(guān)問(wèn)題。
沙特文化處文化和社會(huì)事務(wù)部主管提議同我校簽訂戰(zhàn)略合作協(xié)議,建立長(zhǎng)期合作關(guān)系,不僅可以為沙特學(xué)生和不同專(zhuān)業(yè)的老師開(kāi)展全英文授課的科學(xué)技術(shù)培訓(xùn),同時(shí)沙特阿拉伯的專(zhuān)家還可以幫助中國(guó)學(xué)員學(xué)習(xí)阿拉伯語(yǔ),傳揚(yáng)阿拉伯的文化。
會(huì)議結(jié)束后,劉副院長(zhǎng)誠(chéng)摯邀請(qǐng)?zhí)厣程匕⒗鯂?guó)駐華大使館文化處主任在方便的時(shí)候前往中國(guó)石油大學(xué)(北京)參觀(guān)考察,旨在加深教育聯(lián)系和知識(shí)互換,為中沙兩國(guó)學(xué)員在短期內(nèi)提高專(zhuān)業(yè)能力和科技水平提供新的機(jī)遇。
走訪(fǎng)沙特阿拉伯王國(guó)駐華大使館文化處是中國(guó)石油大學(xué)(北京)繼續(xù)教育學(xué)院服務(wù)“一帶一路”國(guó)家戰(zhàn)略的一項(xiàng)重要工作,也是我院落實(shí)學(xué)校“十三五”規(guī)劃樹(shù)立國(guó)際品牌的重要舉措,必將為學(xué)院的全球化運(yùn)作帶來(lái)積極深遠(yuǎn)的意義。

The Continuing Education School, China Petroleum University (Beijing), visited Saudi Cultural Mission in Beijing for the 1st Time
Paving a New Road for Cooperation in Education
On 12th May 2016, afternoon, a delegation from China University of Petroleum (Beijing), Continuing Education School (CES); the deputy dean Mr. Liu Yuping, the dean assistant Mrs. Cao Xuegeng and the international training manager of the BD center Dr. Yasir, paid the first visit to the Saudi Cultural Mission in Beijing. The deputy Saudi Cultural Attaché, the director of Cultural & Social Affairs Mr. Mohammed Alshraim, and the supervisor of administration & Finance Department Mr. Abdulwahab K. Dammak warmly welcomed the guests and conducted a 2-hour formal meeting.
During the meeting, Mr. Liu Yuping briefly introduced 3 main points which reflecting the CES’s intention according to a fax message sent earlier to Saudi Cultural Mission; those are:(1) Introducing CES as a leading modern school in training service provider, (2) pursuing Saudi community in China and abroad for interested training courses and educational needs, and (3) to pave the way for building a long-term partnerships in education and culture.
Then, Mrs. Cao made a well prepared power point presentation about the CES and she answered many questions with more clarifications provided by Dr. Yasir. Moreover, deputy dean Mr. Liu, highlighted that the CES is looking for partnership with Saudi’s universities and /or government departments through Saudi Cultural Mission in order to further develop and promote educational exchanges and in-depth cooperation and expand the scale of Saudis who seek advanced knowledge through professional training courses in China.
The director of Saudi Cultural & Social Affairs Mr. Alshraim expressed his willingness to consider a “Memorandum of Understanding” to build a partnership with our school and work together gradually in a specific cooperation plan that devoted to carry out other educational cooperation to train Saudi students as well as the teaching staff in different majors of science and technology using English as a medium of instruction, also he emphasized that Saudi specialists in Arabic may wish to assist Chinese learners of Arabic language if both sides support the idea. Whereas, the Saudi cultural supervisor of administration & Finance Department Mr. Abdulwahab suggested a very interested idea about designing practical training and scientific visits in English language for Saudi students prior their graduation.
Nevertheless, this visit of CES to the Saudi Cultural Mission in Beijing is considered not only as a successful but also as a historic one between the two sides in the field of educational and cultural cooperation. Thus, the CES deputy dean Mr. Liu asked the leaders of Saudi Cultural Mission to have a tour visit to the main campus of CUPB very soon. He concluded that such visits are important to further deepen the educational ties and knowledge exchanges; it can also provide new opportunities for as many people of the two nations as possible to develop their skills and upgrade their knowledge in shorter time.
